Encouraging Thunder Award!!

Yay! My 3rd award! Thank you, Lacie and Matt for bestowing me this honor!

The Encouraging Thunder Award is a pretty simple process.

  1. Thank your awesome nominator(s)
  2. Tell the world why you blog
  3. Nominate 5 more people to keep the award going

My story:

In all honesty, my desire for a blog stemmed partly from my need to be heard. I felt like I was lost in the masses, not taken seriously because of my age and personality. I started writing my deeper thoughts on Facebook, but I didn’t want to be that person. I needed a place to speak my mind in more detail and feel safe from judgement. I wanted to show people there’s depth and insight behind the silly attitude. The other appeal of a blog was a continuation of therapy. I’ve been writing almost all my life, and after I finish I always feel a little bit more free. Blogging seems like the new age journal. It’s perfect.

Miles of Life Lines has been an idea in progress for about a year now. I had thought about it for months before finally taking the leap and researching the best way to go about creating one. After finding WordPress, I began to think of a suitable name. You know, you can’t just pick a name. It has to encompass your blog and your personality. After what felt like hours…I fell in love with Miles of Life Lines. Why? It’s me, traveling through life. Writing a lot. Learning a lot. 100% free to shine as myself.

Now, I’ve bothered yall with enough details. Time for nominations:

  1. Casual Thoughts
  2. The Weird Button
  3. Morgan
  4. Stephanie
  5. Daily Rant

Sisterhood of Bloggers Award!

Wow! I was nominated for this award last weekend, but apparently moving takes more work than I thought, so I apologize for the delayed post! Thank you so much lubnamaryam92 for the nomination!

Her questions:

  • What was your ‘Dream come true moment’ in life so far?

My age aside, my “dream come true moment” was when I fell for my significant other. That ‘aha’ moment was the most peaceful yet energizing feeling in the world. Knowing I had found my Prince Charming was a huge weight off my chest, because I was already tired of kissing frogs.

  • Favorite food?

I would have to say pretty much anything Mexican or Italian. But, my favorites of both would be a Bean and Cheese taco/burrito and Spaghetti. I know, as basic as you can get. The important thing is I branch out from there!

  • If there was one thing you would like to change about the world, what would it be?

There are many answers to this, but I feel like a basic solution that would solve many problems is the loss of judgement. Especially in religion we seem to be the most judgmental of all, yet across the board to do so is looked down upon. Rid the world of judgement and people are more welcoming and willing to help others.

  • Favorite place to travel?

The mountains! Or the beach! Or the mountains on a beach! California? Ireland?

  • An ideal weekend would be ? Describe.

Any adventure with my love. Finding mountains within the city to watch sunsets, filming a gigantic moth on the windshield while at a Sonic, road trips, making dinners, it’s all perfect!

  • Who is the most important person in your life?

If you can’t guess, it’s my significant other. He’s my best friend, my unconditional supporter, my cheerleader, and my guardian angel all rolled into one. Without him the world would be lifeless and dull.

  • How important is ‘Religion’?

As a Christian, my religion is my foundation. My relationship with God keeps faith in my life. Yet, as I discover more about the world and converse with different types of believers, I’ve found that religion is a means of comfort and control. A friend defined it as a way to control the masses. I believe a lot of humans are afraid of death, so they find comfort in an afterlife, whatever it may be. Everyone is different, though.

  • Your take on the world in one line.

The world is a beautiful anomaly full of not-so-intelligent, intelligent life forms.

  • What do you like about my blog? What would you want me to post more about?

Being An Eccentric is beautiful! I love your writing style in the pictures you post. My favorites are your take on life. It’s so poetic. So, I guess that’s what I’ll be looking out for most! 🙂

  • A thought/incident that changed your perspective of life.

My perspective on life has been changing ever since I left home. I left my childhood bubble, met people from all walks of life, and began to form my own opinions of the world. It’s been a long journey that doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon!

Ok, my turn! Here are my nominee’s to continue the Sisterhood:

I liked the questions I answered, so I’m passing them onto yall! Happy blogging!

Liebster Award

What a joy! Thank you Bre James and Margo for the nomination! I feel so honored to be one of the bloggers you thought of when deciding. I’m so excited to pass it on!

Once you are nominated make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you. Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post as well, nominate 5-10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person that nominated you, answer the eleven questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make eleven questions of your own for your nominees or you may use the same questions.

These were the eleven questions I was asked to answer:

1: Who do you consider your role model?

I admire many for different traits, but I don’t really have a single role model. My life theme is to pave my own way, so I don’t really look up to others to copy them completely.

2: What are your lifelong dreams?

Above all, I want a life full of happiness. This will include a family to love and the continuation of my writing passion.

3: If you could change the world what’s one thing you would change?

Equality for all!

4: Disney World or SeaWorld?

Disney World, of course, because I’m no where near Cali and Seaworld is in my backyard!

5: What is your dream car?

A new truck, whatever model it may be.

6: What is your dream job?

Working for a publishing company. I mean, how great would it be to discover new authors for a living??

7: What is your ultimate dream?

That’s too broad of a question…I wouldn’t know where to start.

8: What would you do with a million dollars?

I’ve always known if I were to get a good sum of money, and I wasn’t drowning in debt, I would give it to charities and churches and put some into savings.

9: If you could do anything in the world that wasn’t against the law what would you do?

I would definitely travel freely without expense. I mean, why are the worlds biggest treasures being held captive by explosive prices? Why isn’t everyone free to experience pleasures beyond their bubble?

10: Describe your personality in 1 word?

Bright 😉

11: Who do you want for president?

I haven’t really studied the candidates yet…I probably will start doing that when it gets closer to the voting date.

Here are my nominations! Have fun!
